The upight and wiry stems are clothed from head to toe with oval, pointed leaves in a coppery purple.  This foliage contrasts beautifully with clusters of saucer shaped, pale golden yellow flowers.  Very easy to grow in sun or part shade and a good garden soil. Hardy and will thrive at the edge of a pond or bog garden. Also great in a mass plantings in a herbaceous border. Nth USA.
