North America. A lovely plant for any garden. A good, basal rosette of strap-shaped and evergreen leaves. The handsome cornflower-like blooms with wide outer petals are 10cm across, borne in clusters over a long flowering season and of clear china-blue with a creamy-white centre. Well drained soil and full sun.
