Almost all of the leaves for this sage are in the form of a rosette at the base of the plant.  These leaves are oval and wrinkled dark green with a long stalk.  There are very few leaves, if any, on the flowering stems.  The spikes of flowers are long, up to 45cm/ 18 inches for each spike.  The flowers are large and rose pink. England.
