A striking plant with tufts of grassy leaves from which arise leafy stems carrying very long spikes densely packed with rose-purple flowers, looking like a slim and soft bottlebrush. Perfect for the border and an excellent cut flower. One of the few plants in which the flowers at the top of the spike are the first to open.  Loved by bees and butterflys. East America.
