Summer Flowering,

Japan.  A smaller hosta with oval and pointed leaves of bright green and with deeply sunken veins.  The flowers have very large, pointed bracts which enfold the unopened flower bud giving rise to the common Japanese name meaning ‘crane’s head’.  The flowers are generally light lavender blue. Sun or shade and moist soil.
